Scott Averill is the CEO and co-owner of Brookside Retirement Community with his wife, Susan and his dad, Chuck. Scott has served as an administrator more than 20 years.
He has specialized in taking facilities that were marginally effective and turning them into successful homes with a combination of innovation, out-of-the-box adventures and a strong commitment to let benefits and fun flow down to staff and residents alike: things such as hot air balloon rides, skydiving escapades, flying in a twin engine plane, taking trips to Vegas to see Cirque du Soleil, sending our Biggest Loser Contest Winner on a cruise to the Bahamas.
He is married to Susan Averill and has four children: Bryan, Nathan, MaKaila and Alec.
Scott has lectured nationwide on transformative care for confused elders. He is a tri-athlete, and has also run in eight marathons.
