Jill Wechsler, BRC’s Social Service Director, was born in Hays, KS. She graduated with her degree in Social Work from Washburn University in 1995. Jill and her husband, Kirby, moved to Overbrook in 2000 and have three children: Chase, Kyle and Nathaniel. Jill has enjoyed being a Jazzercise Instructor at Overbrook Jazzercise for 3 years now and loves to be her children's biggest fan, whether it is cross-country, basketball, track, baseball or soccer. Her family recently started to play golf together which has made for very fun summers.
Jill started to work at Brookside in 2006 and has held several different roles over the years. She has served as a Quality of Life Coordinator, Activities Coordinator and now she has settled into her role in social services. Her favorite thing about working at Brookside is that she never has a boring day and that she gets to meet some of the greatest people that she would never have met otherwise. She loves to complete "social histories" for the residents where she finds out about their life story. "I get to hear stories that are funny, sad, scary, romantic and even heroic. I feel that the more we know about the people we take care of the better we will be able to serve them."
